SUMMARY

1. Exercise and gait training.

2. Static and dynamic balance exercises.

3. Medication review and modifications.

4. OT intervention: home modifications, removal of trip hazards, clutter in the home, improve lighting, rails.

5. Foot care and footwear modifications.

6. Otago exercise program.

7. In the hospital: use non-slip socks, call bells, sensor mats, hi/lo beds, rails, toileting plan, equipment, hoists, gait aids & assistance for the elderly.
